 Pender Harbour is popularly known as the "Venice of the North."
Situated along British Columbia's beautiful Sunshine Coast,
Pender Harbour weaves a jagged shoreline punctuated with
intricate waterways, coves and inlets. A favorite destination
for boaters and non-boaters alike, the area is as beautiful
approached from the water as it is explored by land. Views
from the mountain peaks afford a breathtaking vista of lakes,
pristine woodlands and neighbouring islands.
 A variety of leisure activities keep both locals and visitors enjoying nature at its best. Pender Harbour today plays host to sport fishing
enthusiasts, recreational boaters, as well as kayakers and mountain trail hikers.
The area is also a favorite of artists and photographers
(myself included!) who find inspiration in the breathtaking scenery they find at every turn. Sunsets in Pender Harbour are considered to be among the best in British Columbia.
The mild climate of the area makes it a popular tourist destination all year round. One of the many attractions of Pender Harbour is Francis Point Provincial Park near Madeira Park - a
 perfect place to enjoy the many activities the area has to offer - fishing, boating, kayaking, scuba diving
&birdwatching are some examples.
Annual festivals popular in the area include the Pender Harbour Blues Festival in May. the Pender Harbour Chamber Music Festival in August and the Pender Harbour Jazz Festival in September.
